What is a piko solar inverter?
PIKO solar inverters are powerful and transformer-less string inverters. The inverters convert DC current gen-erated by the photovoltaic modules into symmetric, single-phase (PIKO 3.0/3.6) or 3-phase (PIKO 4.2/5.5/7.0/8.3/10.1) AC current and feeds this into the public mains grid.
Are Piko inverters required?
The VDE application rules (VDE-AR-N 4105) and the Renewable Energies Act (EEG) are compulsory. The PIKO inverters satisfy the currently required standards and guidelines. Note: Should the PV system not fulfil the Renewable Energies Act (EEG) 2012, the grid operator can reduce the feed-in tariff or dispense with it entirely.

How do I connect a ripple control receiver to a piko inverter?
Note: For all PIKO inverters, the ripple control signal receiver can be directly connected without an addi-tional device (see section “Connecting a ripple control receiver for active power control” on page 39). The reg-ulating function is activated in the web server of the inverter (option “Function of analogue inputs: active power control”).
